Target archery for every kind of bow, in the heart of Wokingham.

Recurve, compound and longbow archers of all standards shoot together at Bowmen of Burleigh — outdoors all year, and indoors through the winter. No field archery or crossbows, just a friendly line and good company.

About the club

A relaxed club with a competitive edge, if you want it.

Bowmen of Burleigh is a target archery club — we don't cater for field archery or crossbows. Members range from complete beginners to a Berkshire County squad regular and an international judge, and most are happy simply shooting for pleasure in good surroundings with like-minded company. Others compete at open tournaments around the country, and the club fields teams in winter postal leagues.

The bow most of our members shoot, including our Olympic-style juniors.

Compound

A strong, active section of the club shoots compound.

Longbow

A smaller number of traditionalists shoot longbow alongside everyone else.

Where & when

Two venues, shot year-round.

We move indoors for the darker months, then back outside as soon as the weather allows.
